New lawn and garden exemption

During their establishment, new plants and gardens often need additional watering. This may conflict with your watering day roster or the winter sprinkler ban. In order to water more frequently you must to apply to your water service provider (listed below) for an exemption.

Your water service provider will provide you with an exemption certificate, a schedule for watering as well as some recommendations for saving water.

It is important not to over-water a new lawn or garden. Over-watering not only wastes valuable water but can also lead to expensive water bills and penalties for mis-use.

Remember it is best to plant lawns and gardens in Autumn, Winter or early Spring to give your plants time to establish before the heat of summer.
