To ensure the long-term security of urban water resources we need to improve the reliability of water supply by including water from a range of supply options that are rainfall independent and environmentally sustainable.
This toolkit section describes non-drinking water supply options for single households, community scale options and options for irrigating public open space. It also provides information on managed aquifer recharge as an option for storage and indirect reuse.
