Guide to alternative water supplies for developers
The Water Corporation has developed H2Options, an easy to follow seven-step process where non-drinking water supply options are considered in a new land development.
It contains tools to assist developers determine the most appropriate water source, to locate sources, and to assess availability and processes to secure the non-drinking water source.
H2Options interactive water balance tool can be used to identify the volume of water required post-development and to determine whether there is a sufficient source available. The guide also includes a water costing tool.
Alternative water supply map
The Water Corporation has developed an interactive alternative water supply map of the corporation's main sewer and drainage reticulation, wastewater treatment plants and sewer pump stations. These locations provide potential non-drinking water source options in the Perth metropolitan area.
