Outcome: Healthy waterways
The department works in partnership with other government agencies and communities to ensure waterways support important environmental systems and economic development for the state.
The department protects, repairs and recovers priority waterways by:
- protecting waterways and catchments from degradation
- restoring important waterways from the damage of past land and water practices.
