This site uses data collected since 2005 by the Swan water quality monitoring and evaluation framework partnership monitoring project. It also utilises known, reliable data collected up to 2002.
The project developed partnerships between the state, local government and regional community groups to deliver a more coordinated approach to water quality monitoring. The monitoring generates reliable data of a known quality that has multiple uses, including informing management actions.
The water quality at various catchment sampling sites has been classified for all the parameters that were measured at that site and data is presented here on an annual basis.
Community members, regional bodies and members of the public are encouraged to access this site to learn about the quality of the water in their area. The website is intended to provide a general indication of the quality of the water in a stream or river over the period of a year and is not necessarily indicative of water quality at any particular time.
If you require data, please contact waterinfo@water.wa.gov.au.
