Collie River fish death response underway

The Departments of Primary Industries and Regional Development and Water and Environmental Regulation are currently responding to reports of dead fish in the Collie River near Mill Bridge in Eaton.
An investigation is underway and at this stage five dead bream have been identified.
Officers are continuing to monitor the situation and will collect further samples as required.
Contact with dead fish should be avoided and the Department of Health advises against eating or handling fish found in these circumstances, or recreating in waterways during a fish kill or algal event.
