Frequently asked questions

How long do I have to pay?

The person who received the infringement has 21 days from the date of issue to pay the amount due. Please make sure payment is made within this time frame to avoid additional fees.
If you believe there may be an error, or wish to apply for an extension to pay the fine please call 1800 508 885 (choose Option 1).

What happens if I receive a Final Demand Notice?

A Final Demand Notice will be sent if payment is not made by the due date stated on the infringement.
Following the issue of a Final Demand Notice, an additional fee is added and an extra 28 days for payment to be made.

I still haven’t paid my fine, now what?

Any unpaid infringements will be passed on to the Fines Enforcement Registry.
